ROCKWOOL on the London fire tragedy

The ROCKWOOL Group extends its heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in London.  Our thoughts are with all those affected, and our admiration goes to the London fire and emergency services who have dealt heroically with this difficult situation.

People have a right to expect their homes are safe places, and we are saddened by the extent of this tragedy when there are technologies already today that can make buildings fire safe and resilient.  Stone wool is inherently non-combustible, which in the simplest terms means it does not burn and will not contribute to the spread of fire and smoke.

It appears now that the cladding PE plate (2cm?) seems to be the reason, combined with the air gap. This seems to be the reason, although everything is still very premature. So this type of comment on the back of the victims in order to promote a product is not very proper.
