A Positive Response to Clean Growth Strategy from Insulation Associations
In the aftermath of the Government’s Clean Growth Strategy announcement yesterday, leading UK Insulation Associations have responded positively to the proposed strategy. We shared comments from MIMA, BRUFMA and the NIA throughout yesterday. Read below for brief out takes from each response and follow the link for the complete statements.
BRUFMA Clean Growth Strategy Response
“Any scheme must be judged on outcomes and this latest government initiative is no different. There have been plenty of attempts over the years to deliver improvements and yet we still have much to do to deliver the energy efficiency necessary to meet the performance targets set for the country.“ BRUFMA CEO Simon Storer
Clean Growth Strategy did not Disappoint Say Mima
Today’s Clean Growth Strategy… by Secretary of State, Greg Clark and Energy Minister, Claire Perry is encouraging, long-awaited and did not disappoint. Not only do we see MIMA and the EEIG’s aspirational target of bringing homes up to EPC C by 2035 being supported by the Energy Minister and her government but we see a much-needed renewed and reinvigorated commitment to energy efficiency.
NIA Welcomes Clean Growth Strategy
Investment in energy efficiency including insulation is a win win providing economic growth, reducing carbon emissions, tackling fuel poverty, reducing energy bills and creating jobs. The NIA and its members look forward to working with Government in implementing the strategy.
